Court sets N20k bail for man accused of stealing N500

An air conditioner repairer working with a hotel in Lagos, Nigeria has been arraigned at an Ikeja Magistrate Court, charged with alleged theft.
The repairer, Paul Muyiwa Ojikutu, a resident of No. 10 Aguragberigbe, Ikorodu is charged with stealing N500 only.

The prosecutor, Inspector Edet Okoi, told the court that Ojikutu was a repairer Ashosh Hotel located at 3, Babatola Close beside Obafemi Awolowo Way, Ikeja, Lagos.
Okoi said the accused stole the said sum from the hotel.
Prosecutor told the magistrate, Mrs. Dan Oni, that the incident took place on 29 October this year at the hotel in Ikeja.

The accused pleaded not guilty to the one-count charge.
Dan Oni granted the accused bail in the sum of N20,000 with one surety, while she adjourned the case till 5 December, 2013 for further hearing.

Housing Complex Catches Fire At Lagos Island

The scene in Lagos Island is quite moody today. Early this morning, the Great Nigeria Insurance House which is reported to have property worth billions of Naira, caught fire.

GNI houses various business organizations including banks. Reports are claiming that no known source has been detected as the cause of the fire outbreak.

According to Punch, more than 12 trucks containing water had arrived at the scene to stop the fire, but all to no avail. One person is feared dead and two have sustained varying degrees of injuries.

Our hearts go out to anyone affected by the situation.

Davido played a $1000 stunt by announcing that he’ll give $1000 to the best skelewu dancer -  so many youths rushed to the stage when he made the announcement.

Davido was the only artiste that didn’t lip sing, he performed live with his band – his Skelewu and Gobe songs got the audience screaming for more.

Olamide on the other hand got everyone singing along all through his performance, he further gave a surprise performance with Pyhno.

 Tiwa Savage performed Oyi remix with flavour and did the Miley Cyrus’  twerking dance which got everyone screaming out loud.

Dbanj also nailed his session by performing of his old tracks like Suddenly and Oyato.

To crown it all Psquare – Peter and Paul Okoye gave some energetic and mind blowing dance moves while performing their hit “personally”.
